Dear James,

I am much calmer now as I realised that I finally have a reason for why you kept backing off. I knew that the feelings were mutual, so I never understood why you would always put a stop to it everytime it looked like it would progress further.

But if you knew you were leaving, maybe you were just doing the 'right thing' being the nice guy that you are and trying to spare us both the heartache. Which is such a stupid 'boy like' thing to do, it may just be true.

Unfortunately I guess we'll never know.
