Dear Gallus,

So I may be seeing you in about a month, and while I'm apprehensive, I think this time it may actually be okay. Do you know why? Because I think I'm getting over you, properly this time.

I keep testing myself out, just in case, but every scenario I run through in my head ends the same way- with me doing what I should have done long ago and telling you 'No, not good enough. I deserve better'. And then I walk out, unscathed, because you and your bullshit no longer affect me.

Now, we'll just see if I can actually manage to do it in real life...
