Dear Gallus,

So I'm home and it's Christmas, so you know that I will be around and yet you haven't contacted me. And I haven't contacted you either. And for the first time, I am relieved and happy rather than upset, because it's the first step to you finally letting me move on with my life.

I like someone else you know and it's nice. Nice to think about someone else for a change. Nice to imagine his hands on my skin instead of yours. Nice to finally feel free of you.

I'm loving these changes and am realising more and more that despite my concerns, they just might be permanent.

It's about time don't you think?
